Find us Blackland Lakes is Magic

The coarse fishery at Blackland Lakes is comprised of two Lakes; the larger Heron Lake is approximately 1 acre with depths ranging from 4 to 12 feet. The second is Stans Lake over half an acre with depths from 4 to 9 feet. The later one was named after Stan Haines who constructed them in 1983 with his massive dragline excavator. The Chalky water has proved to be ideal for fish and they are in excellent condition.

Both Lakes are well stocked and contain Mirror carp up to 35 lbs, Tench to 4 lb, Roach to 2. 5lb Perch to 3lb Bream to 9lb, Crucian Carp to 3lb, Rudd and Gudgeon. Additional stocking was carried out in 2009.
